BACKGROUND
Political and Economic dimensions
Economically inactive and retired people could establish their own webshops at the bazaar and sell and offer goods and services by using the Internet. They could earn their own money instead of sitting at home. As a long term effect, this activity can affect the country’s economy in a positive way. BAZAAR project strengthens the initiative and entrepreneurial activity for mature people and encourages them to exploit their already existing skills and experience they acquired during their life. By enhancing the sense of initiative and entrepreneurship we created a pool as an e-market by using internet to sell goods and services.
Social dimensions
It modified the attitude of entrepreneurs SMEs, consumers, workers and theconsumers, workers and the whole society towards older people. It created a network to encourage and support older people. As a long term social effect a dialogue platform will be also established to share good practice and advocate changes in attitudes of society towards older people and among themselves.
1. DETAILED DESCRIPTION
In Bazaar course they learn how to build an e-business-facility based on their existing skills, competencies and experience or their own creative hobbies in order to offer their products and services online at the Internet and generate income.
These goals will be reached by:
* creating a dialogue platform with institutions and stakeholders that can support the project,
* developing an e-marketing course for older people participating in the project
* training the trainers about e-marketing,
* creating the “Bazaar” website, a web store where the participants in the project can promote and sell their services and objects
In order to support and organise these new entrepreuneurs we establish in each partner country (DE,AT,FR,IT,TR and UK) a virtual bazaar (webspace) which overtakes the overall tasks (training, marketing, adminsitrative) for all entrepeneurs collectivelly, so they are embedded in a “collective entrepeneurship” instead of struggling individualy with similar problems. By enhancing the sense of initiative and entrepreneurship we created a pool as an e-market by using internet to sell goods and services. More knowledge of operating a business; more efficiency; greater environmental awareness in practice.
